The Iranian Foreign Minister's senior advisor for special political affairs confirmed that the destructive American interference in regional affairs and America's opposition to completing the peace agreement process in Yemen are two examples of interventionist and destabilizing measures in the region.
This came during a meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister’s Senior Advisor for Special Political Affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji, in Tehran with the Special Representative for Promoting Yemeni Affairs, Heidi Johannes, where the two sides discussed the latest political, field, and international developments taking place in Yemen.
According to what Nahr News Agency reported, the two sides expressed their deep concern about the escalation of the crisis, the expansion of the scope of the conflict in the region, and the continued killing of innocents in Gaza and Lebanon, and called for a ceasefire and the sending of humanitarian aid to the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen.”
“In this meeting, Khaji referred to the destructive American interference in regional affairs and America’s opposition to completing the peace agreement process in Yemen, and considered its approach an example of intervention and destabilization measures in the region.
He stated that since the beginning of the Yemeni crisis, the Islamic Republic of Iran has emphasized the political solution and dialogue between the Yemeni parties by presenting a political plan, and pointed out that stability and security in Yemen can only be achieved through dialogue and political solution.
Norway's representative in Yemen affairs, Heidi Johannes, also explained that Norway agrees with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the necessity of resolving the Yemeni issue through political dialogue between Yemenis and called for the efforts of the international community to achieve stability and peace in Yemen.
