The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, met in his office this morning in the capital, Aden, with Mr. Muhammad Daoud Zarir, head of the mission of the French medical organization MAHAD, welcoming him and his companions to the capital, Aden.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Zaouri was briefed on the organization’s future plans and programs in the southern governorates and liberated areas, especially in the field of supporting sustainable development projects, providing medical care, and training and qualification programs for medical and pharmaceutical staff.
The Minister heard from the organization’s mission its interventions in supporting the health and medical staff at Mahnaf Hospital in the city of Lawdar in Abyan Governorate, calling on it to work to expand its activity to include the rest of the regions.
Minister Al-Zaouri was also briefed on the organization’s future activity, which aims to meet the needs of hospitals and health centres, qualify and train medical staff, build the capabilities of students in educational institutions in the field of medicine and staff in the Republic and Friendship hospitals, and work as twins in this field between the universities of Aden and Paris, stressing the importance of Coordination and partnership between the organization and the official central and local government agencies in the governorates.
For his part, Mr. Daoud expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Minister Al-Zaouri in supporting and facilitating the work of the organization, noting that he will enhance coordination and joint cooperation with the Ministry to achieve sustainable development in the field of medical care in various regions.
