The official news agency “Saba” said that Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak referred new violations in cases of corruption and crimes affecting public funds to the Public Prosecutor, to investigate them and take the necessary measures.
It quoted an official source in the Prime Minister's Office as saying that Bin Mubarak sent a letter to the Attorney General containing the violations committed by the Executive Director of the Oil Investments Company, his failure to preserve public property and to act individually in discussions related to the transfer and operation of one of the oil sectors.
The source explained that the letter included a comprehensive file of the violations committed by the government official, and accordingly he was referred for investigation.
The source stressed the Prime Minister's absolute commitment to preserving public money and fighting all types of corruption, considering this a top priority for his government.
