Masila Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (PetroMasila) announced today the successful initial operation of the heavy fuel oil (mazut) refining unit and the production of trial quantities with high specifications.
The Executive General Manager of PetroMasila, Mohammed Bin Sumait, explained that this achievement is part of the company’s plans for diversification and development after the cessation of oil exports and the export buoy hit more than two years ago. He pointed out that this experimental quantity will be donated to power generation stations in Hadhramaut Governorate, under the direct supervision and responsibility of the local authority.
