Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, chaired part of the Council of Ministers meeting today, Thursday, at Ma’ashiq Palace, where he discussed local and regional developments, and stressed the need to redouble efforts, and work in the spirit of one team, to improve the level of performance, public revenues, and combat corruption. .
President Alimi directed the government to implement urgent solutions in the electricity and energy sector, improve revenues, and combat corruption.
The meeting concluded with a number of decisions and recommendations, including:
- Adoption of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Agreement for member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for cooperation in the field of anti-corruption law enforcement.
- The Cabinet approved the general framework for preparing the first national report on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
- Formation of a higher supervisory committee headed by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation to enhance the pioneering role of the city of Aden as the country’s capital.
