On Thursday, an Israeli occupation minister issued statements about the recent movements of armed groups in Iraq and Yemen.
Israeli Army Radio quoted Minister Zeev Elkin: The movement of the armed groups present in Iraq and Yemen was to help Gaza and the Hamas movement, and there is no ceasefire with them.
On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, stressing that this 60-day truce aims “to be permanent” and warning that “what remains of Hezbollah” will not be allowed to threaten “Israel’s security again,” he said.
Biden said in a speech he delivered at the White House that, according to the agreement that will enter into force at dawn today, Wednesday, at four in the morning local time, “the fighting across the Lebanese-Israeli border will end.” This (truce) aims to be a permanent cessation of hostilities.”
Biden delivered his speech shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the Israeli security government’s approval of this agreement.
