The United States of America condemned, in the strongest terms, the horrific attack carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia, which targeted a crowded popular market in the village of Barmiya, Isolation of Barashah (Al-Asha’ub) in the Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate.

The US Embassy in Yemen said in a statement through its account on the “X” platform: “The brutal Houthi attack that targeted a crowded market, and resulted in the death of six civilians and the injury of eight others, constitutes another example of the Houthis’ reckless disregard for human life.”

The statement affirmed that the United States stands with the Yemeni people in the face of these reckless and violent acts, and remains committed to supporting the Yemeni people in their quest to achieve a safe, peaceful, and prosperous future, and providing support to the Yemeni people in their struggle for justice and human rights.
