The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Yemeni government, Muammar Al-Eryani, said, “While the world stands by and watches, the terrorist Houthi militia affiliated with Iran continues to target civilians with unparalleled brutality in various Yemeni regions.”
Muammar Al-Eryani explained in a press statement that the Houthi militia’s latest horrific crimes were in the village of Al-Boumiyah in Maqbanah in Taiz Governorate, where they targeted a popular market with an Iranian-made drone, resulting in 6 deaths and 8 wounded, including children.
Al-Eryani pointed out that this massacre is not an exception, but rather a continuing approach since the Houthi militia’s coup against the state, as they targeted residential neighborhoods, schools, markets, hospitals, and populated areas, in an organized crime of genocide against the Yemeni people and a threat to regional and international peace and stability.
p>Al-Eryani stressed that the continued silence and international condoning of these heinous crimes has encouraged the Houthi militia to continue its terrorism against civilians, and this silence amounts to undeclared complicity with the Iranian death project in Yemen.
Al-Eryani called on the international community to assume its legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities in saving the Yemeni people from the criminal Houthi militia, and to immediately begin classifying it as a “global terrorist group,” freeze its assets, and prosecute its leaders involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity.
