A commercial ship suffers an accident in the Red Sea and its crew is evacuated

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced today, Friday, that a new maritime accident had occurred involving a commercial ship in the waters off the coast of the Yemeni governorate of Hodeidah, which is under the control of .
The British Authority stated, in a statement on its official page on the “X” platform, that it received a report yesterday, Thursday, about an accident occurring at a location 105 nautical miles away, northwest of Hodeidah Governorate.
The authority quoted a military source, saying that a commercial ship went out of control, and its stern began to sink, which prompted the international coalition forces to evacuate the crew to Djibouti, without indicating the reason for the ship’s damage.
Since November of last year, the Houthi militia has launched military attacks on commercial ships passing through international waters in the Red Sea, under the pretext of “supporting the Palestinians in Gaza.”
Since the start of its attacks on maritime navigation, the Houthi militia has been able to hijack one ship called “Galaxy Leader” with its crew, sink another called “Rubimar,” and damage two other commercial ships, which prompted many shipping companies to shift their route via "Cape of Good Hope".
The leader of the Houthi militia, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, claimed in a speech yesterday, Thursday, that 211 ships had been targeted since the start of their military attacks, including a “large and widespread operation that targeted several American warships,” he said.
