Assassination of a leader in the Al-Aqyal organization in Marib

Today, unidentified gunmen assassinated Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Dhib, a leader in the Yemeni army and the anti-Houthi Iqal organization, in the Wadi Ubaida area in Ma’rib Governorate, which is under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood (Islah Party), and fled.
According to sources, Al-Dheeb is a leader in the Aqyal organization, which adopts an extremist ideology against anyone belonging to the Hashemite families, whether in the Brotherhood or the Houthi group, and he was responsible for planning a land called the city of Aqyal.
So far, no official statements have been issued by the relevant authorities regarding the incident or the party behind it.
Activists from the Aqeel organization accused the Brotherhood of being behind his assassination, especially since many of the leaders who rejected the Brotherhood’s control were killed at the hands of unknown persons, and their families were unable to obtain any information about who was behind those assassinations.
