The Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting today, Sunday, headed by Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of its members Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman Al-Muharami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majli, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, while Council member Sultan Al-Arada was absent with an excuse.
p>The Council discussed regional variables and their repercussions on the national arena, including recent developments in Syria, Lebanon, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Houthi terrorist attacks on international shipping lines.
In this context, the Presidential Leadership Council congratulated the brotherly Syrian people on the overthrow of the Iranian guardianship regime over the Syrian Arab Republic and the return of Damascus to the Arab incubator, affirming Yemen’s position in support of the territorial integrity of Syria, respecting its independence, sovereignty, and the will of its people for freedom and change, and establishing peace and security. And stability.
In addition, the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the results of the 45th summit of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in which Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries affirmed their strong commitment to fully supporting the Presidential Command Council and the entities supporting it to achieve security and stability in Yemen, and to reach an agreement. A comprehensive political solution, in accordance with the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and Security Council Resolution 2216, in a way that preserves Yemen’s sovereignty and unity. And the integrity of its lands and independence.
In another aspect of the meeting, the Council reviewed the latest developments in the political, economic and service situations in Yemen, including fluctuations in exchange rates and basic commodities, and the efforts made to alleviate the human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime. The meeting also reviewed a report on the results of the work of the presidential committee charged with preparing a national strategy headed by Council member Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, to deal with the entitlements and variables of the next stage in the political, economic and military fields, and appropriate decisions and recommendations were taken regarding it.
Part of the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, who participated in discussing possible solutions to the existing challenges and working to implement the Council’s relevant decisions and recommendations.
