A sheikh gives evidence to the Assad regime: The collapse of regimes begins with the loss of the popular support and the army will not fight on behalf of a corrupt person

The former leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Abdul Rahman Sheikh, commented on the accelerating events in Syria and the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
A sheikh said that there are lessons learned from what happened in Syria, which is: When you lose your popular support and lose the sincerity of your cause, your army collapses and your soldiers disperse from around you.
He added, "Army fighters will not lose their lives for the sake of a corrupt and failed man and his profiteering gang."
He pointed out that regimes that antagonize their people and make their citizens pawns for foreign projects will one day find themselves naked, stripped of all their strength and power, no matter how long they remain on the throne of power.
