Al-Muharrami meets with the US ambassador to Yemen to discuss the military and economic situation

Commander Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, met today, Saturday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the American Ambassador to Yemen, His Excellency Stephen Fagin, to discuss the latest developments related to the economic and military conditions in the country.
The meeting discussed the economic and humanitarian repercussions in Yemen and the region, in light of the continued Houthi escalation on international shipping lines in the Red Sea. Ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides to combat terrorism and support peace and stability efforts in the region were also discussed.
The meeting reviewed the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to confront the economic and humanitarian challenges in our country. In this context, Al-Muharrami renewed the Presidential Leadership Council’s keenness to implement internal reforms and combat corruption, to improve basic services and meet the needs of citizens, stressing the importance of the American and international role. In supporting these efforts.
For his part, the American ambassador affirmed his country’s support for the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in confronting the various challenges, praising the efforts made to enhance stability and unify ranks in the face of the current challenges.
