Al-Zubaidi: We rely on the United Kingdom’s role in supporting the stability of Yemen and supporting humanitarian efforts

Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Chairman of the Southern Transitional Council, stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation with the United Kingdom in the fields of security and development, in a way that contributes to restoring stability to Yemen and the region.
In a statement after his meeting with the British Ambassador to Yemen, Ms. Abda Sharif, Al-Zubaidi said on his Facebook page: “We discussed ways to strengthen joint efforts and coordinate positions to restore stability to our country and the region, and intensify cooperation in confronting the ongoing Houthi threats in international shipping lanes.” , which represents a threat to regional and international security.”
Al-Zubaidi added: “We rely greatly on the role of the United Kingdom in mobilizing humanitarian support to support the efforts made by the Presidential Command Council to lift Yemen out of its economic crisis and provide basic services to our people, most notably food, medicine and electricity.”
This meeting comes at a sensitive time, as international and local efforts continue to stabilize Yemen, amid the economic and security challenges facing the country, in light of the continued Houthi militia attacks and the rising humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people.
