The Endowments and Guidance Office in Shabwa Governorate issued an important circular to all Sharia ruqyah shops in the governorate, based on the complaints and Sharia violations that were monitored during the process of reading to patients.
In the circular signed by Mohsen Muhammad Hussein Ahmed, Director General of the Endowments and Guidance Office in Shabwa, it was emphasized that it is strictly prohibited to perform a number of illegal acts while practicing ruqyah, which are:
1. Touching the patient while reading.
2. Being alone with the sick person.
3. Frequent conversations with the patient while reading.
4. Selling sexual products.
The circular stressed the necessity of adhering to the legal instructions approved in the legal ruqyah, in order to preserve morals and legal controls in dealing with patients.
At the conclusion of the circular, the Director General of the Endowments Office indicated that these measures come to ensure the safety of society and protect it from violations that may harm individuals and society in general. He directed all concerned to fully adhere to what was stated in the circular, stressing that violators will take the necessary legal measures against them.
