The Presidential Leadership Council continued today, Monday, headed by Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of all its members Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman Al-Muharami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Othman Majali, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, to discuss the latest developments in the situation on the national scene, At the forefront are the government efforts made to secure services and alleviate the burden of human suffering caused by the terrorist Houthi militias supported by The Iranian regime.
The Presidential Leadership Council also discussed preliminary proposals to deal with the requirements of its strategy for the next stage, which it approved in a previous meeting, including various political, economic, and military tracks, and took appropriate decisions and recommendations regarding them.
In this context, the Presidential Leadership Council directed the rapid completion of the sectoral matrices to implement the strategy as a road map to confront the complex challenges, focusing on the priority of development, completing the battle to restore state institutions, combating terrorism, and achieving the aspirations of the Yemeni people for peace, security, and stability.
p>The Council also heard reports from some of its members on the tasks assigned to them, including evaluating the performance of a number of higher authority bodies, the path of financial and administrative reforms, efforts to combat corruption and promote the principles of integrity, transparency, and governance, as well as the level of decision-making on relevant issues. In this regard, the Council directed the concerned authorities to take constitutional and legal measures to reconstitute the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority, and activate the role of oversight and accounting mechanisms in protecting public resources, and enhancing the prestige of the state.
The Council urged the government to accelerate its measures to deal with the economic situation, remove all obstacles and restrictions facing the humanitarian community, and enable its relief interventions to reach those who deserve it in various parts of the country.
The Council affirmed its full commitment to facilitating the work of the government, strengthening its capabilities to fulfill its imperative obligations, and responding urgently to crises and urgent changes in full coordination with all state institutions, and its central and local authorities.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership with the regional and international community, at the forefront of which is the coalition to support legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and to support their good endeavors in order to move the country from a state of war to a state of peace, in a way that meets the aspirations of all Yemenis to restore institutions.
