*Al-Hadaba - December 25, 2024 AD*

The head of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance, Sheikh Amr bin Habrish Al-Ali, today, Wednesday, issued Resolution No. (3) of 2024 AD, which includes the formation of military forces called the Hadhramaut Protection Forces as part of efforts to strengthen control over the oil-rich governorate.

The text of the decision issued by the head of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance was as follows:

- Article (1): Formation of the Hadhramaut Protection Forces, with the aim of enhancing security and protecting the region from any threats that may affect its stability.

- Article (2): Appointment of Major General Mubarak Ahmed Al-Awbthani as Commander of the Hadhramaut Protection Forces, in a step aimed at directing and organizing these forces in a way that ensures their effectiveness in facing security challenges.

- Article (3): This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance.

The decision, which was issued on December 25, 2024 AD, corresponding to Jumada al-Ula 24, 1446 AH, comes at a sensitive time in which Hadhramaut is witnessing increasing security challenges, between several parties.

Bin Habrish had published tribal formations around oil wells in Hadramaut, and accused the government of delivering oil to the private sector, which was denied by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals of the Yemeni government.
