The Assistant Undersecretary of Hadramaut Governorate for Youth Affairs, Mr. Fahmi Badawi, concluded today in Mukalla the training course entitled “Strengthening joint cooperation between lawyers and the electronic extortion unit in the Mukalla Security Directorate,” which is implemented by the Peace and Construction Foundation, with funding from the Civic Organization.

In conclusion, Agent Badawi stressed the importance of the course that the participants receive at the hands of one of the best judges in the country and extracting years of experience, to enhance high efficiency and achieve justice, praising the efforts of the Salam and Construction Foundation and the Civic Organization for organizing this project that comes under these circumstances. .

The course lasted for three days, during which Judge Shaker Bennish provided important knowledge and information in the legal and procedural aspects related to combating cybercrime, in addition to reviewing practical experiences of effective cooperation mechanisms between lawyers and the electronic blackmail unit.

The Executive Director of the Salam and Building Foundation, Ms. Sumaya Al-Sibai, indicated that the course comes within a series of initiatives implemented by the Foundation to enhance digital security and raise the level of legal and technical awareness in the local community, to confront the increasing challenges imposed by technological development.

The course came up with recommendations, solutions and proposals for coordination between legal and security authorities and improving mechanisms for cooperation and information exchange between lawyers and the electronic blackmail unit, which leads to a faster and more effective response to blackmail cases, and the development of unified legal standards and procedures for dealing with electronic blackmail cases.
