Amr Al-Bayd, the Special Representative of the President of the Southern Transitional Council for Foreign Affairs, confirmed in a talk show on the Aden Independent Channel that the partners of the South in Yemeni legitimacy have no real seriousness in confronting the Houthi militias or developing the South.
Al-Beidh said that the Yemeni forces within the legitimacy are trying to weaken the Southern Transitional Council and return it to before the events of Sheikh Salem, with the aim of reducing its popular and popular influence in the south.
Al-Beidh explained that involving the Transitional Council in power is an attempt to seize control of the South, and keep it in the state of political laxity from which it suffers. He pointed out that the main goal of the partners of the South is to stabilize the status quo after the 1994 war, and not to allow the Transitional Council to achieve its goals of restoring human rights. Al-Beidh confirmed that the Yemeni forces within the legitimacy have no real intention to confront the Houthi threat, accusing them of failing to protect the southern lands and their interests. He pointed out that the Transitional Council seeks to achieve the legitimate aspirations of the people of the south, while the Yemeni forces seek to liquidate the Council’s goals.
Al-Beidh concluded his speech by saying: “My fellow citizens in the south must realize that Yemeni legitimacy does not have any real intention to confront Al-Houthi, but rather seeks to impose a new reality that strengthens the North’s hegemony over the South.”
