Al-Qaeda announces the execution of 11 people in Yemen, including a journalist

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula claimed responsibility for the execution of 11 people in Yemen, including journalist Muhammad al-Muqri, who was kidnapped in 2015, in a statement published by the organization’s accounts on social media and circulated by specialists in the affairs of extremist groups.
A statement attributed to the organization stated that the executions were on charges of “espionage” and “chip implantation,” and that they were carried out after “trials” conducted by the organization. The statement also published the names of those executed, who numbered 11 people.
Al-Maqri was kidnapped during the period of ISIS control over the city of Mukalla in Hadramaut Governorate.
