The Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance is proceeding with the formation of the Protection Force, ignoring the objections of the local authority

The Security and Military Committee of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance held a meeting today, Sunday, headed by Major General Mubarak Ahmed Al-Awbthani, Commander of the Hadhramaut Protection Forces, to discuss a number of topics related to performing the committee’s work and expanding its tasks in the organizational, administrative and military aspects.
In the meeting, the completion of admission and registration procedures for recruitment was discussed, in addition to discussing the visions for the institutional building of the Hadhramaut Protection Forces, strengthening their presence and building their capabilities so that they can play their role in establishing security and stability, preserving the nation’s wealth, and participating in the fight against terrorism and making peace over the country. At the local, regional and international levels.
During the meeting, the committee stressed the importance of the Hadhramaut Protection Forces, which were formed based on the decision of the head of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance, Sheikh Amr bin Habrish Al-Ali, No. (3) of 2024 AD, stressing the need to rally around and support them as a historical achievement in the Hadhramaut march and a step towards achieving governance. Self-preservation.
The committee also approved several decisions and recommendations related to the issues discussed, to be submitted to the NATO Presidency for approval and taking the necessary measures regarding them.
Despite the committee’s emphasis on moving forward with the implementation of these steps, it should be noted that the security committee in Hadramaut Governorate has announced its refusal to form any military force outside the framework of the official security and army institutions, which reflects the difference in positions between the alliance and the local authority.
