Masam: 3,174 Houthi mines and ammunition were removed during the past week in Yemen

The Masam Mine Clearance Project in Yemen announced today, Sunday, December 29, 2025, that its field teams removed 3,174 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices during the past week from several Yemeni governorates.
The Masam Project Operations Room said in a statement that teams removed 3,174 landmines and unexploded ordnance last week (December 21-27), including three anti-personnel mines, seven anti-tank mines, and 3,164 unexploded ordnance.
She indicated that this statistic raised the total number of items removed from December 1 to 27 to 5,398
The statement stated that demining teams were able to clear 301,645 square meters of Yemeni territory last week.
Since the launch of the project at the end of June 2018 until December 21, the project teams were able to remove and destroy 476,432 explosive materials in the liberated areas of Yemen.
