The statement added that on November 7, the Floreal ship carried out a successful interception of a sailboat carrying 3,866 kilograms of illicit drugs, including 3.5 tons of hashish, 341 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 25 One kilogram of phenethylline tablets.
The joint forces indicated that, following the first operation, the French ship continued to investigate sailboats along potential smuggling routes, resulting in another successful interception on November 17 of last year, of a sailboat that was trying to smuggle 467 kilograms of methamphetamine and 57 kilograms of heroin. "All confiscated quantities were destroyed at sea, with the aim of disrupting drug smuggling efforts and deterring smugglers from these activities."
The statement explained that these efforts came within the framework of Operations (Eagle Claw 1 and 2), which were carried out by the Joint Task Force (CTF 150) in the months of November and December 2024, “with the participation of military assets from Pakistan, France, and the US Navy.” With the aim of combating drug smuggling operations, which tend to increase during this period due to favorable maritime conditions, the Pakistani Navy ship (Zulfiqar) played a major role in this Coordinated efforts.”

Task Force 150 is one of five task forces of the Joint Naval Forces, and Pakistan has been leading it since July 22. Its mission is to deter and disrupt the smuggling of drugs, illicit substances, and weapons in the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
