The Houthi group mourned a new batch of its fighters, who are believed to have died in confrontations with government forces, in addition to the victims of the recent Israeli raids on the ports of Hodeidah, western Yemen.
According to the Houthi-run Saba Agency, the group, on Sunday, in the capital, Sanaa, buried the bodies of 6 of its fighters, all of them officers, one of whom held the rank of lieutenant colonel, and three captains, in addition to a first lieutenant and an assistant.
On Saturday, the group held a funeral for the bodies of four combat officers, without indicating the place or time of their killing, saying only that they were “martyred on the fronts of pride and dignity.”
The number of the group's fighters who fell in confrontations with government forces during the month of December rose to 57 fighters.
Meanwhile, in the Hodeidah Governorate under its control, the group carried out the funeral of the bodies of 4 dead people, whom it said “were killed during the crime of the Zionist aggression targeting the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa last Thursday.”
