The Undersecretary of the Yemeni Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority, Major General Abdul-Jabbar Salem, issued strict directives prohibiting the employment of refugees and migrants in all sectors, within the framework of a comprehensive plan to regulate the flow of migrants and protect the rights of Yemeni workers.
The agent stressed the need to cooperate with government agencies, local authorities, and security agencies to implement this plan, stressing that employing foreigners leads to depriving Yemenis of job opportunities and constitutes a burden on the national economy.
The directives indicated that this step comes in response to the directives issued by the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, which aim to protect the Yemeni labor market and provide job opportunities for the Yemeni workforce.
The Immigration and Passports Service will coordinate with international organizations to provide shelters for immigrants and deport them to their countries of origin.
