The Houthi leader acknowledges Iranian support... and threatens Israel

An explicit admission by the leader of the Houthi coup militia in Yemen, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, that Iran is behind his militia’s attacks on Israel.
In a new video recording, Al-Houthi admitted for the first time to receiving support from Iran as part of what he called “Iran’s support for the support fronts,” and Tehran also played “an honorable role in establishing some movements in the Gaza Strip and in Palestine,” he said
In an attempt to mobilize public sympathy and reduce the burden on Iran, Al-Houthi said, “What Iran is exposed to is the price for its great contribution towards Palestine and Gaza, and the support it is doing to the support fronts,” referring to Tehran’s arms in the region, such as the militias in Yemen and the factions. In Iraq.
Al-Houthi’s acknowledgment of Iranian support for the group coincided with the anniversary of the killing of the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, who was killed on January 3, 2020, by an American strike in Iraq, where Al-Houthi praised his role in establishing Tehran’s arms in the region.
Regarding his fleeting attacks, Al-Houthi said, “There were many operations this week, including the bombing of Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, Nevatim Air Base, and a power station south of Jerusalem.”
The leader of the group, listed on global terrorist lists, indicated that this week’s attacks “were nighttime,” in which “22 hypersonic, winged ballistic missiles and a drone were used,” and succeeded in pushing “millions of Israelis” into shelters.
With regard to the attacks aimed at disrupting international navigation in the Red Sea, Al-Houthi claimed that a civilian ship was targeted in the eastern Arabian Sea for violating the embargo on Israel, as well as “the attack for the second time on the US aircraft carrier Truman with 11 winged missiles and a drone.”
By air, Al-Houthi praised the group’s alleged shooting down of “two MQ9 planes in Al-Bayda and Marib,” noting that “the planes are expensive, and that he is fighting a war of attrition with the West and Israel.”
While Al-Houthi stressed that “his group’s attacks are constant and escalating to deal with the challenges and with intense missile and air force that is sufficient to achieve the goals,” he considered that the Israeli and Western descriptions of the group as a “very complex enemy” are a “good positive” message for him.
Al-Houthi vowed to continue his attacks on Israel, indicating that any strikes “will not represent a factor of deterrence or pressure to stop us.”
He also downplayed the impact of the Israeli strikes on the group’s sites and vital installations, saying, “The Israeli aggression last Thursday targeted, with 22 raids, a number of civilian facilities, resulting in 7 deaths and 37 other injuries.”
He pointed out that America and Britain launched 931 air strikes and naval bombardments on the military group’s sites, killing 106 people and wounding 314 others.
It is noteworthy that the militia leader’s speech attempted to reduce the impact of the Israeli and Western strikes following statements by the Hebrew state that the fate of the group hiding in Yemen will not differ from the fate of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Bashar al-Assad’s regime
