Prime Minister: We are continuing to fight corruption and referring the files to the judiciary

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak stressed, on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, that combating corruption and enhancing transparency represents one of the main paths of the comprehensive reform program that the government adopted from day one.
He added in his tweet, “I affirmed this commitment by making my first official visit to the Central Oversight and Accounting Organization, emphasizing its pivotal role in combating corruption, and calling for comprehensive reviews of a number of vital and important institutions.”
He pointed out, “Today, this trend is turning into an integrated approach in which all efforts are combined, with the support and backing of the Presidential Leadership Council. In this context, a number of files related to corruption have been referred to the Attorney General, and legal measures will be taken against everyone who It is proven that he is involved in corrupt practices, and he must be referred to the competent authorities without leniency.”
He continued, "We will continue to work on building a model for state institutions based on the rule of law and justice, in which everyone proven to have committed corruption or colluded with it is held accountable."
Ben Mubarak concluded, “On International Anti-Corruption Day: We are steadily proceeding with the issue of combating #corruption, which we have placed at the top of our priorities and our five main paths, with determination and decisive will, and we have begun to adopt practical steps in referring files to the judiciary in accordance with the law and coordination.” With the regulatory and security agencies to hold corruptors accountable, and in this battle we are counting on the support of the media and our people.”
