The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council listened to a briefing from Judge Al-Saqqaf on the supervisory and accounting activity of the Central Organization for Oversight and Accounting on the financial, administrative and organizational performance of state institutions, the difficulties and challenges it faces, and the measures required to enhance its performance and tasks, and its legal and constitutional powers to achieve effective control of funds. public and ensure its proper management in terms of economy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the efforts of the Central Oversight and Accounting Agency and its effective contributions to protecting public funds and promoting the principles of integrity and anti-corruption, by evaluating and reviewing the financial and administrative performance of various government units, directing the speedy implementation of the Council’s recommendations and completing the procedures for reviewing and evaluating the accounts of all ministries. And institutions, and raising awareness of the parties that are lagging in responding to the device.
In this context, he referred to the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council to refer all cases pending before the regulatory bodies to the judicial authority to take its measures in accordance with the applicable laws.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council confirmed that the Council is continuing on the path of comprehensive reforms to improve the efficiency of state institutions and completing the necessary measures to enhance the role of anti-corruption mechanisms, including restructuring the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority, supporting the Central Oversight and Accounting Agency with capabilities and competencies, and forming the Supreme Committee for Tenders and Auctions.
