The Houthi militia confirmed that it will not enter into negotiations with Saudi Arabia currently under the pretext of its preoccupation with confronting the Israeli occupation, announcing the continuation of its attacks in the Red Sea and towards the occupied Palestinian territories.
The leader of the militia, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, stated that they asked Riyadh to intervene with Washington to reduce the escalation, given the interconnectedness of American and Saudi interests in the region, which he said might be targeted if harm was caused to them.
He indicated, in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV, that the Saudis informed them that they might enter a new alliance with the new US administration, describing that as a miscalculation.
In another context, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei confirmed that his country will continue to support the Houthis in Yemen, who are announcing attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories.
He said that the resistance must remain vibrant, as he put it, under the pretext of confronting what he described as malicious Zionist movements.
The government accuses Iran of supporting the Houthis and supplying them with weapons, with the aim of achieving its interests and expansionist ambitions in the region.
