Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Stephen Fagin.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and their future prospects, in addition to ways to enhance the close partnership between the two sides at various levels.
The meeting touched on developments in the Yemeni situation, comprehensive reform efforts, and the international support required to limit the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations, international shipping lines, and maritime cargo ships and their disastrous repercussions on the living and humanitarian conditions in the country.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations with the United States of America, and its humanitarian and development interventions, expressing his aspiration for a broader bilateral partnership to confront challenges and deter destabilizing threats to the security and stability of Yemen and the region.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh.
