In a shocking incident, a Qur’an healer seized the wife of a citizen in Ma’rib Governorate.

It began about a year ago when the wife of citizen Yassin Abdo Al-Hajj Muhammad Ali was transferred for treatment by a Qur’an reciter in Ma’rib.

The matter later developed into the reciter convincing the husband that his wife was suffering from witchcraft in order to escape from it unless he divorced her.

Al-Hajj said in a phone call with Aden Al-Ghad newspaper that he got married three years ago and his wife gave birth to a little girl.

He indicated that he was surprised last Ramadan when his wife’s father took her for treatment to a Qur’an reciter called Abdo Muhammad Al-Sharif.

He explained that he was surprised by the sheikh proposing to his wife after the end of the waiting period and marrying her today, Thursday.

Al-Hajj called on the authorities to intervene to stop this farce and the violation of sanctity carried out by this sheikh.
