The Preparatory Committee for the National Movement for Correction and Construction held its first meeting today, Saturday, in the capital, Aden, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Bassem Fadl Al-Shaabi, and in the presence of the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Ahmed Saeed Karama.
The committee discussed a number of issues, including preparing for the launch ceremony and preparing documents. The committee unanimously approved the draft vision, goals and principles, and also approved the formation of a mini-committee to manage the activity until the launch day.
The committee praised the work and activity achieved during the last period, most notably the step taken regarding the electricity file. The committee called on all journalists, media professionals, and activists to interact with the electricity file to ensure a fair and transparent investigation by the Central Organization for Control and Accounting.
The committee reviewed messages and positions of support from various segments of society with the announcement of the founding of the movement, calling on everyone to interact and take initiative, as the process of correction and construction concerns all people with their various orientations, in light of the difficult circumstances that the country is suffering from.
The committee addressed the issue of expanding the circle of alliances with various civil, social, and national forces, for the success of the correction and construction project, fighting corruption, improving people’s living conditions, raising the level of public services, and bringing the country to safety.
