Urgent .. Aden electricity demands urgent intervention to avoid power outages

The General Electricity Corporation of Aden made an urgent appeal to the Vice -President of the Presidential Command Council, Major General Faraj Salmin Al -Bahsni, the Governor of Hadramout Governorate, Mr. Mabkhout bin Madi, and the head of the Hadramout Tribal Coalition Sheikh Amr bin Habrish, to intervene immediately to pump sufficient quantities of crude oil to the president’s station, And that is before its expected stopping within the next 24 hours.
The Foundation warned that stopping the station would lead to entering the capital, Aden, in complete darkness, as a result of the total extinguishing of all the electricity system. The capital is currently dependent on the president, which operates with a partial capacity of 65 MW, in addition to the solar power plant during the day, but the continued fuel shortage means that the stopping of the station is imminent.
The Foundation emphasized that this stopping will disastrously affect all vital facilities, including hospitals, water pumping stations and service sectors, which will double the suffering of citizens under the difficult circumstances they are living in.
The Foundation also indicated that it had contacted all the concerned authorities in the past weeks, and provided many appeals, but without any response. In light of the approaching date of the president's station, the institution finds itself in front of a catastrophic reality that requires direct and rapid intervention from the leadership of Hadramout Governorate to ensure that crude oil supplies are continuing.
The Foundation expressed its hope for the rapid response from the concerned persons, stressing that electricity is not just a service, but rather a lifeline that guarantees the security and stability of the capital and the neighboring governorates and the comfort of its citizens.
