The southern forces tackled a night attack of Al Qaeda in Abyan

The southern forces in Abyan announced today, Saturday, the success of their combat units in repelling a surprise night attack launched by al -Qaeda on advanced sites in Abyan Governorate, south of the country.
The southern forces said in a statement read by Al -Ain News, that the attack that took place on Friday night - Saturday targeted one of the sites of the Second Brigade, support and support in Wadi Omran, northeast of the Modian district in East Abyan, in the south of the country.
The statement emphasized that "violent clashes erupted between the forces and the attackers, which resulted in the terrorist elements that the terrorist elements were brought up and forced them to flee under the weight of the concentrated strikes."
The statement pointed out that "the southern forces began a wide combing operation to track down the fleeing and ensure that the entire area is secured," pointing to a wounded fall during the terrorist attack.
After the attack, the leadership of the Second Brigade strengthened the support and support of security measures, and raised vigilance and efforts to the highest level to deal with any other terrorist threats to al -Qaeda in the province overlooking the Arabian Sea.
Abyan is a theater for the battles of hatred and the escape between al -Qaeda and the southern forces, as the organization depends on the "guerrilla war" approach to launching its attacks based on the heights and areas located between the Houthi province of Al -Bayda and on the borders of Shabwa and Abyan southern governorates.
According to Yemeni officials who spoke to Al -Ain News, it is the Houthi militia who stand behind al -Qaeda's activity after supporting them with motivations of weapons, drones and thermal missiles, as part of a joint cooperation between the two groups to destabilize Yemen and the region.
