An official agreement that re -launching Kuwait's development programs in Yemen

The Republic of Yemen and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed today, Saturday, in Riyadh, a bilateral agreement for financial arrangements, the resumption of the launch of Kuwaiti development projects, the restriction of the payment of the arrears due to the fund, in appreciation of the leadership of the State of Kuwait for the exceptional conditions in Yemen, and the distinguished historical relations between The two brotherly countries.
The agreement was signed by the government of the Republic of Yemen, the Minister of International Planning and Cooperative, Dr. Wasat Badib
The agreement aims to re -launch the sister Kuwaiti funds for development programs, and to reduce the burden of debt owed to the Republic of Yemen by reschens the payment of the benefits and late installments, and in a way that helps the government in confronting the emergency economic and financial burdens that the Houthi militia attacks on the oil installations, and international navigation lines exacerbated .
The agreement represents an important message on the privacy of Yemeni -Kuwaiti relations, and improves confidence between the state institutions and the Yemeni government with the donor community, and the urgent response to the priorities and needs of the Yemeni people in the vital fields.
Funds include a number of service and development sectors, foremost of which are electricity, energy, education, and public works.
In statements to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) and the media, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waad Batib, and the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Development, Eng. Walid Shamlan Al -Bahr, praised this achievement for the benefit of the Yemeni people, and the restoration of the momentum of Kuwaiti financing and its estimated interventions in various sectors.
Minister Badhab expressed his appreciation for the generous support of the State of Kuwait for decades of the march of development and reconstruction in Yemen, leading to its humanitarian and great service interventions in light of the conditions of the Cairo war, which was ignited by the terrorist Houthi militias.
For his part, the Director General of the Kuwaiti Fund stressed that the fund was keen to enforce the high -end directives in response to the needs of the Yemeni people and the priorities of their government, expressing his hope that the signing of the agreement will contribute to improving the living conditions and basic services throughout Yemen.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Director of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al -Shuaibi, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Yemen, Falah Al -Hajraf.
