Yemen is discussing Japanese support in the field of combating terrorist and criminal activities

The internationally recognized Yemeni government in the Yemeni government, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, met today, Sunday, the Ambassador of Japan to Yemen, Yochi Naksheima.
During the meeting, Major General Haidan expressed his aspiration to enhance Japanese support in the areas of specialized training for security personnel to develop capabilities in the field of combating terrorist and criminal activities that threaten security and stability.
Major General Haidan praised the bilateral relations between our country and the friendly Japan, appreciating the Japanese government's support for the security sector in Yemen, and the continuous support of Japan to the Yemeni Coast Guard forces, which contributed to strengthening the capabilities of the Coast Guard forces.
For his part, the Japanese ambassador, Yachi Naksheima, affirmed his endeavor to enhance security cooperation and work as a link between the government of his country and Yemen, and continuous coordination to face the security challenges facing Yemen.
