Farhan Haq, a United Nations deputy spokesman, said on Monday that the international organization has stopped all its operations in the Yemeni province of Saada after the Houthi group detained more of its employees.
"This exceptional and temporary procedure seeks to balance the need to survive and implement (tasks) and the need to ensure the safety of the United Nations employees, its partners and their security."He continued, "Such guarantees are ultimately required to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of our efforts."
