The President of the Presidential Command Council in Yemen, Dr. Rashad Al -Alimi, issued an urgent direction to the Ministry of Defense to ban any celebrations or activities related to the anniversary of the February 11 youth revolution that erupted in 2011, in a military circular bearing the number (171) and the date of May 15, 2025.
The instructions came under direct guidance from the General Staff to the military leaders throughout the governorates to impose prohibition and address any activities that "threaten public security and national unity."
The official document, which was obtained by Skop 24, confirmed the organization of marches, raising slogans or chants, or publishing the content associated with the occasion through social media, and described it as "partisan calls or movements that raise chaos."
The military forces also ordered any violation of the instructions, with electronic publications referring to legal accountability.
This decision comes as a desire for hatred in the council and a reference to cutting the Brotherhood's pavilion in the Yemeni government, as well as the desire of the southerners participating in the president and the government, and trying to obliterate the features of the revolution in which Al -Houthi was a partner, and took advantage of it to control the state and launch a war of east and south. >
It is reported that military instructions were directed to heads of bodies, regional leaders and military units, while confirming the immediate obligation to implement.
Despite the guidance, the Reform Party, which dominates the Taiz Governorate, celebrated today with the so -called February 11 revolution in a challenge to the presidential directives.
