The security belt forces in Lahj governorate managed, today, to seize an armed group that was engineering among the demonstrators, after they shot one of the security patrols while securing the peaceful demonstrations in the province.

Brigadier Hussein Al -Saidi, the leader of the security belt in Lahj, confirmed that the forces dealt with the situation firmly and in line with the military laws, and all armed elements, including a person named “President of the Southern Arab Union”, who have been involved in an attempt to target Security forces and chaos.

Brigadier Al -Saeedi indicated that preliminary investigations showed evidence of this group receiving support from the Houthi militia and external destinations, stressing that all those involved will be revealed as soon as the security investigations are completed.

The leadership of the security belt warned against any attempts to destabilize security and stability in Lahj Governorate, stressing that its forces will be the lookout for all those who begged themselves to tamper with the security of the south. 

Brigadier Al -Saeedi also gave a greeting and appreciation to the children of Hij al -Sharif, who expressed great cooperation with the security services in addressing any security threats aimed at undermining the stability of the province.

The security belt leadership affirmed its continued performance of its national tasks with all firmness to protect the Hajj, calling on citizens to report any suspicious movements, in order to enhance security and stability in the province.
