The Yemeni government calls for the transfer of the headquarters of the UN agencies to Aden after the killing of an international employee

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak made a phone call to the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program, Cindy McCain, during which he offered the condolences of the government and the Yemeni people in the killing of employee Ahmed Ba'loui, who was kidnapped by the Houthi militia and was forcibly hidden since January 23.
The Prime Minister condemned the heinous crime committed by the Houthi militia against the employees of humanitarian organizations, stressing that this crime constitutes a warning bell of the conditions of detainees in the Houthi prisons. He stressed the importance of the urgent international and international action to protect the humanitarian workers, and to ensure the immediate and unconditional release of all the kidnappers.
Also, the communication reviewed the Houthi practices against humanitarian action and its impact on efforts to reduce the humanitarian crisis, and the Prime Minister stressed the need to transfer the headquarters of international agencies and international organizations to the capital, Aden, to ensure a safe and stable environment.
For its part, the Executive Director of the World Food Program expressed great sadness for this tragic loss, and emphasized the invitation of the Secretary -General of the United Nations to conduct an immediate and transparent investigation and hold the officials accountable, and to ensure the protection of humanitarian relief staff.
