Major General Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Command Council and Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, today, Monday, urged southern military and security leaders to remain steadfast, raise high vigilance, and maintain readiness and constant preparedness to confront any emergency.
This came during an expanded meeting of southern military and security leaders, attended by Brigadier General Bashir Al-Subaihi, Commander of the National Shield Forces, in the capital, Aden.
He welcomed those present, praising the great efforts, great sacrifices, and great heroism undertaken by members of the armed and security forces in defending the people of the southern homeland and preserving its security and stability.
Al-Zubaidi informed the attendees of the latest developments on the political side, developments related to the political process, its stages, the location of the issue of the people of the South in it, and the military and security arrangements that may result from it.
Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of maintaining high readiness and vigilance, raising the level of coordination between military and security units in carrying out tasks, and remaining steadfast on the ground, to preserve the gains achieved for the people of the South and their cause.
The leader-president addressed the attendees, saying: “You are the valve of the cause of the people of the South, their security and stability, and your steadfastness on the ground has given, and is giving, the southern politicians the ability to present the cause of our people with full force in regional and international forums.”
The Commander-in-Chief confirmed that the training and qualification process for all members of the military and security units, commanders and individuals, is ongoing and will continue, in a way that ensures the building of a solid military and security institution, on a national and scientific basis, that keeps pace with the rapid developments taking place in the region and the world, and is capable of protecting our people with all efficiency in Various stages and conditions.
At the end of his speech, Al-Zubaidi saluted the presence of Brigadier General Bashir Al-Subaihi, stressing that this reflects a great keenness on the part of the leadership of the National Shield Forces to coordinate and integrate efforts on various fronts and military sites, and to strengthen the unity of the ranks and the internal front.
Al-Zubaidi then briefed the commanders of the axes, military brigades, and security units on the military situation on the fronts in the confrontation with the Houthi militias, the security conditions in the governorates, and ways to strengthen them.
The meeting also reviewed what was implemented during the training year 2023, in the operational, training, and moral aspects, and discussed the plan for the training year 2024, and taking the necessary measures to achieve the goals that guarantee the readiness of the forces and the implementation of their tasks.
