The conclusion of the third international Yemen Forum in Amman to discuss peace and stability issues

The third international Yemen Forum concluded today, Tuesday, its activities in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the completion of the research and study of a number of fundamental issues and multiple paths that lead to a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in the country.
According to the agenda of the forum organized by the Sana'a Center for Strategic Studies, the third and last day includes a number of sessions and workshops that will address the issue of food insecurity, economic priorities, environmental problems, the reality of civil work, peace and stability in Yemen.
The activities began with a public session, after which a discussion episode on "addressing the lack of water security in the context of an extended conflict", then we will take place with the synchronization of 3 round tables, the first discusses the process of reforming the Presidential Command Council according to the vision and perspective For the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, while the third will discuss the issue of transitional justice from an environmental perspective, and how to deal with the environmental damage that the conflict exacerbated.
The forum concluded its morning period yesterday with a discussion episode that focuses on the reality of the operational environment of civil society organizations in the country, and the relationship between them and government institutions related to their fields of work.
As for the afternoon, the activities resumed a discussion episode entitled "Peace and Stability in Yemen and the region ... security interconnection and strategic opportunities", followed by the closing session of the forum, during which the experts of the Sana'a Center will present the final outputs of all events that lasted for three days .
The United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Gundberg, discussed in his closing speech to the activities of the third forum, on regional conditions and factors that led to the stumbling efforts of strengthening the comprehensive political process in the country, and encouraging the parties to exploit the opportunities available to resume discussions on setting a road map under United Nations' a care for peace establishment in the country.
