Somalis seized a Yemeni fishing boat, off the Horn of Africa, days after a similar incident.
A European naval force, known as Eunaffor Atalanta, said that the attack targeted a traditional sailboat that was sailing in the waters of the Middle East off the town of El in Somalia.
The European Navy explained that the attack on Monday is still under investigation, without further details.
The operation comes 10 days after an attack by the pirate on another Yemeni fishing boat that ended with the flight of pirates and sailors on board unharmed.
