The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, met today, Tuesday, with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, Hans Grundberg.
The two sides discussed the latest developments on the Yemeni scene and efforts to bring peace and revive the political process.
Bin Mubarak touched on the ongoing violations committed by the Houthi militias in Hodeidah, Taiz, and Ma’rib.
In addition, political sources spoke about Saudi Arabia summoning members of the Presidential Leadership Council, to consider perhaps something that will be announced in the coming days, similar to a peace declaration, following the Omani-Saudi moves to bring together the Yemeni parties and announce a solution to the crisis.
The Transitional Council is committed to resolving the southern issue within the upcoming political process and within its own framework, which enables the people of the south to restore their state on the borders of 1990 AD.
