Washington is classified as the Houthis as a terrorist organization and displays a huge reward to unveil their financing

The US State Department announced today the classification of the Ansar Allah group (the Houthis) as a foreign terrorist organization, in a move that represents one of the promises of US President Donald Trump. The ministry said that this decision comes as a result of the threats posed by Houthi activities on the security of American civilians and its employees in the Middle East, in addition to the threat of global maritime trade stability.
Since 2023, the Houthis carried out many attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as targeting American soldiers working to protect freedom of navigation in the region. This classification is part of the United States' efforts to protect its security interests, and to limit the support provided to terrorist activities.
The United States also announced the allocation of a reward of up to 15 million dollars through the “Rewards for Justice” program, in exchange for information that disrupts the financial sources of Ansar Allah.
The ministry stated that this decision is in line with the United States ’policy to combat terrorism and protect national security, while emphasizing that America will not tolerate any country dealing with terrorist groups such as the Houthis under any justification.
