Today, the Yemeni International Telecommunications Company (TeleYemen) issued a warning announcement against using Starlink equipment or any other company that provides Internet services via satellite without obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the relevant security agencies.
The company explained that using these equipment without a license exposes its users to legal accountability and security prosecution, since these companies and equipment are not licensed by the Ministry.
The company confirmed that the only company licensed to sell and market Internet services via satellite is TeleYemen, in accordance with Communications Law No. 38 of 1991 and its amendments.
According to the Telecommunications Law, the company will take all strict legal measures against those who use the aforementioned networks and will expose their equipment to confiscation.
The company confirmed that this warning is final and violators bear full responsibility.
These warnings come within the framework of the company's efforts to maintain national security and sovereignty, protect intellectual property rights, and ensure the safe and legal provision of Internet services.
