Al -Alimi discusses with Al -Sisi the restoration of security and stability in the Bab al -Mandab region

Dr. Rashad Mohamed Al -Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Command Council, met with the Council of Council Sultan Al -Arada, today, his brother, President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sidelines of the emergency Arab summit in Cairo.
The meeting touched on the curricula of the exceptional summit, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and regional issues of common concern.
He congratulated the President of the Presidential Command Council, President Sisi, on the success of the extraordinary Arab summit, stressing the pride of Yemen and its people on the sincere Egyptian positions alongside the Palestinian people, and the right to establish his sovereign independent state, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The President of the Presidential Command Council, his brother, President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, reviewed the developments of the Yemeni situation, including the economic and humanitarian crisis that the attacks of the Houthi terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime exacerbated.
For his part, President Abdel Fattah Al -Sisi affirmed Egypt's fixed position alongside Yemen, its people, its stability, the safety of its lands, the continued provision of all forms of support in order to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people, and achieve its aspirations for security and development.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, explained that the meeting stressed Egypt's fixed support for the Yemeni state and the integrity of its territory, with an emphasis on the connection of the security and stability of Yemen with the Egyptian national security and the security of the Arab region and the Red Sea.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, the official spokesman, added that the meeting dealt with ways to restore security and stability in the Bab al -Mandab region, where the importance of stopping the attacks targeting commercial ships in that region, especially after Egypt lost more than seven billion dollars in the Suez Canal revenues in 2024, following those attacks.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Shan’i Al -Zindani, the Ambassador of Yemen to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Mahfouz Bahah, the acting delegate to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ali Musa, on the Egyptian side, Foreign Minister Badr Abdel -Ati, the head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Hassan Rashad, and the director of the office of the President of the Republic, Counselor Omar Marwan
