Member of the Presidential Command Council, Brigadier "Tariq Saleh", confirmed on Sunday 16 March 2025 that the air strikes carried out by the American forces on the locations, camps and headquarters of the internationally classified Houthi group in terrorism lists during the past hours are "a clear message that the international community has become aware of the danger that the group poses to international security." 

Tariq Saleh said in a post on the X platform: “We followed the ongoing threats posed by the Houthi terrorist militia on navigation lines in the Red Sea, and the direct American military response required by President Donald Trump that it will be the center of the bases of this militia, its leaders and missile defenses.”

The Yemeni presidential member considered that the clarification of "Trump" that the military operation will be focused on the group's rules, leaders and missile defenses, "indicating the need to ensure that these operations are accurate and focused in order to avoid any negative human traces."

He pointed out that these strikes "a clear message that the international community has become aware of the danger posed by the Iranian -backed group not only on Yemen and neighboring countries but also on international security and peace.

Tariq Saleh stressed that there is a broader cooperation and a more comprehensive strategy to narrow the screws on the Houthi group and cut roads and sources of financing, calling on the international community to “deal with it completely seriously and not tolerate its repeated threats.”

During the past 24 hours, American forces launched raids, most of which were described as "violent", targeting the internationally classified sites and camps of the Houthi group on terrorism lists in a number of governorates under its control, including (Sana'a, Saada, Dhamar, Al -Bayda, Ma'rib, and Hajjah). 

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced the issuance of his orders to the American armed forces to launch a "decisive and strong military action against Houthi terrorists in Yemen," addressing the Houthis by saying: "I say to the Houthis: It is time for you"
