Pentagon: We attacked more than 30 goals, including training and leadership centers, and we spent dozens of Houthi leaders

Pentagon spokesman Sean Bernil said on Monday that the US Central Command began a series of operations that included accurate strikes against Iran -backed Houthi targets throughout Yemen.
He stated that the goal of these operations is to "restore freedom of navigation and establish American deterrence."
He also revealed, at the Operations Director of the Staff, Alexis Greencotch, that the Houthis attacked American warships more than 170 times and commercial ships 145 times since 2023.
He explained that the operation against the Houthis "is not an endless attack and not an attempt to change a system in the Middle East, but rather to put American interests in the first place."
He stressed that the operation will end, "when the Houthis stop attacking our ships and endangering the lives of the Americans."
US Secretary of Defense Beit Higseth had highlighted that the United States would launch "uncompromising" strikes against the Houthis in Yemen until their military operations targeting American assets and global shipping movement.
Saturday, the United States directed extensive military strikes against the Houthi strategic facilities in Yemen, in a move to put an end to the continuous threats of Iranian -backed rebels, to navigate in a vital waterway through which about 15 percent of global trade passes.
