A member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council - Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Fadel Al-Jaadi, warned against any political agreement that does not give southerners the right to independence and the restoration of their state.

Al-Jaadi, in a blog post on his account on the (X) platform, said: “Any political agreement that does not give the southerners the right to independence and restore the state will only be tantamount to jumping on the aspirations of the people and the merits of the southern cause.”

He stressed that this would only lead to distortions in the course of the peace process and a miserable failure to reach an effective solution that would end the wars.

Al-Jaadi's blog post comes against the backdrop of news about the imminent announcement of an agreement to end the Yemeni crisis.
